PC issues mirroring intense emotions

One day in October 2014, intense sadness about the situation at work came up. Not only was I still not promoted, but I had just found out that the information about everyone’s career level was now internally visible for everyone in our company who would care to find out. (Yeah, I know, probably nobody cared anyway.)

I felt anger because this had suddenly been published. I didn’t remember having been informed about it. It’s none of anyone’s business to know about my career level, is it? Why on earth did someone suddenly decide to make this information internally visible? But even more than anger, I felt a deep sense of shame and sadness about that. I wanted to stay away from everyone and be alone, drowning in my grief.

My guidance tried to soothe me in many ways. Talking to me, sending me a dream as a warning, sending me a happy song. But to no avail. I just wanted to shut myself off from everyone and be left alone.

Five days later when I was still in that bad mood, I logged in to my PC at work. But, what a surprise, I could not get connection to the company network. In particular, that meant no phone to call the hotline and no means to open a service request. I had to ask two colleagues for help to create an online service request for me.

When I finally managed to talk to someone from the IT support, they diagnosed the issue and said that for some weird reason the ‘Global’ group was missing on my PC. And probably someone would have to come to my PC to recreate it.

Then, I left my desk to get a cup of tea and managed to become silent and think about what might have caused this issue.

Suddenly it dawned on me that this weird behavior of my PC mirrored my bad mood and my wish to be left alone. I mean I was shut off from the network, literally.  So, I managed to confess that to myself and then went back to my desk.

To my surprise, the network connection was now working again even though nobody from the support had restored any ‘Global’ group on my PC.

Two things are noteworthy in this story:

A) Processing emotions on this journey is a tricky thing for me. Suppression is not good as this can lead to health issues. But feeling the emotion and then drowning in it can also lead to unwanted side effects.

B) There is amazing power in forgiveness of such events. I have repeatedly found that technical issues vanish when I realize that they just mirror something inside of me.
(Other stories are Power of forgiveness and Forgiveness and lost emails).

This post is part of a series about my spiritual journey (table of contents).

  1. Your story about work gets me thinking about how many more signs I probably missed regarding my unhappiness with my company. Forgiveness is so important and can be so difficult. One cannot fake it, it must be genuine letting go.

    Keep posting more :)

    1. Thanks for your encouragement for my writing and for sharing your thoughts about how you relate to this.
It would be interesting to see if you find signs about the situation at work that you had missed at first. I hope you let me know what you find out.

      1. Yes I will.
I do not mean to be pushy but I selfishly enjoy your stories and am happy when a post by you arrives in my Reader :) It is overwhelming how much we can miss, in spite of all we do notice. At least that is my take on it.

    1. Thank you for your kind comment.
Yes, there is a field which extends beyond the body. Some people can see auras. I think that extends beyond the body.

But fundamentally we are consciousness. And I think of that as being another dimension. Similar to a 3d sphere that would be above and below and at the same time containing a 2d paper thin plane, in the same manner consciousness is outside of our physical 3d plane while containing it at the same time.

For a picture, see the the diagram in this post

So, I don’t know whether it was my aura or whatever that caused this issue. Maybe. Or maybe it was the state of my consciousness.

      1. Oh, I am so glad to have found your site. The blog you reference to me offers such consistency with the claims of others in this area. Such as; the claimed powers of the old mystics, Heidegger’s Dasein, my being told there is no such thing as emptiness, and Gendline’s philosophy of the implicit (made practical in Focusing). I have lived in uncertainty in relation to all these, and your blog offers me more evidence in their favour. Joining dots, fitting together, understanding better.

        1. Thanks a lot for letting me know that my post has helped you to connect some dots. I am glad to hear that and I appreciate that you let me know.

I am not familiar with the references you mentioned, but I bet that all the mystics and awakened ones came upon the same truth, no matter what path they took.

What seems to be also similar is that they feel an urge or a calling to express what they have found – even though it is darn difficult to express it with words.

And so they express what they have found. But each one will express it a little differently with different names for the void or no-thing-ness.

They also use different metaphors or maps for their journeys. I also wanted to write some kind of map of the spiritual journey and then thought that I should study all the maps which are already available out there. But then I realized that would take me too long. And besides, I remembered that Eckart Tolle (I think it was him) said, “Comparing pointers is pointless.”
So, I thought, what the heck, I will just draw my own map.

  2. Dear Karin, your story touched me deeply and I am in awe of your awareness in making the connections you did. I discovered this amazing reality years ago and I never cease to be amazed by how helpful and timely it is in every facet of my life. All I have to do is ‘tune in’ and its miraculous abilities will come to the fore, like a signpost ready to guide me to the next step. Thank you so much 💙

That is wonderful that you discovered this reality already years ago and are guided by it.
